Christmas Pines

After my last card I decided to give the same stamp set another airing, this time using more natural colours.

I also used up the salvaged back of the card that I threw away the other day . I stamped the trees in Rustic Wilderness and Soft Suede for the trunks, then over stamped with Crushed Olive to get the two tone foliage. The deer was stamped on a scrap of card with Soft Suede and die cut with the matching dies.

Challenges:

NBUS - the deer and matching die are both NBUS
The Snippets Playground- snippets used , card mat and deer

Rudolph Day July

A new card this month instead of an upcycled one for Rudolph Day. I really like this image of a reindeer head, a freebie with a magazine last year.

This time I stamped and heat embossed in gold tp produce a simple one layer card. I was going to add some splatters but decided against it in case I just made a mess! This is also my second  entry at Less is More and I'm also sharing at Stamping Sensations.

Happy Little Stampers - Reindeer

Just when you thought Christmas was over for another year and here I am with another Christmas card!

 http://happylittlestampers.blogspot.com/

As usual I have gone with the optional twist.I used this cute little reindeer which was a magazine freebie with matching dies, although I fussy cut these ones out as I forgot about the dies.

He has a nice red sparkly nose and hat and the snow is sparkly too. Unfortunately it was a very grey, wet day when I photographed it, so the sparkle doesn't show up. Lets hope you can join us and get an early start on those Christmas cards.

Christmas Critters at Cardz for Guyz.

I was originally going to use some cute mouse stamps for the theme "Christmas Critters" but thought they didn't look very masculine. So as Cardz for Guyz is all about making cards for the men in your life I decided to use this rather good reindeer head stamp that was a magazine freebie.

I stamped it in black and clear embossed it onto some gold cardstock and cut it out with a stitched rectangle die. The paper is from a nordic Christmas pad from a few years back. The tag is from the same pad.

If you are looking for more inspiration, check out the rest of the DT's makes.

Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge

It's time for the March Christmas challenge at Happy Little Stampers. I cant believe how fast this year is going already!

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

I made this in a bit of a rush to fit round the builders finishing and having new carpets laid. I knew that as soon as that happened I wasn't going to be be able to do any crafting as I would be too busy moving things from room to room to accomodate the carpet fitters! I have used a freebie die from a couple of years ago, for the main image. The snowflakes are a Tim Holtz set.  The white glitter card was out of my scrap box. I stamped the sentiment from HLS Christmas Joy in White then heat embossed it with some WOW embossing powder.

I hope by next month's challenge that I will be back in the house, in my new craft room and things will at long last be back to normal.

Dasher!

Welcome to a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz, and this week it is Reindeer. When Stampin' Up brought out this Dasher stamp I just had to have it, but it has hardly been used. Time to ink it up again.

A  simple card, but it used up some fairly large snippets from my snippet mountain, not that you can tell!

Reindeer at Cardz 4 Guyz

Its time for a new challenge at Cardz 4 Guyz and this week  it is Reindeer chosen by Julie. I had just got this new die which is a magazine freebie and was perfect for the challenge. So I have two very simple cards. The first onehas the die backed with some green glitter paper mounted onto an embossed card blank.

For thesecond card i cut the die out of red card and mounted it straight onto an embossed card blank.

These are so quick and easy to make they really lend themselves to batch making if you're running short of time!
